Just because you're embarrassed by a DUI arrest doesn't mean you shouldn't fight it in court; you reputation and your driver's license are at stake. Your best option is to prove that you weren't inebriated; otherwise, as distasteful as it may seem, your best bet is to cast doubt on the abilities and competence of the officer(s) who arrested or examined you.

Breathalyzer tests are far from infallible! If you were arrested on the basis of such a test, you have legal grounds to challenge your arrest. Find a capable lawyer, give them all the information they need to help you, and set them loose on your accusers.

Keep your chin up during your DUI proceedings. You'll hear the state's lawyers make unflattering claims about you, especially if this isn't your first conviction; but don't lose your cool. You'll be more effective if you can keep your temper, and your dignity, intact.
